I’m still waiting on my refund, and the weird part is there hasn’t really been any clear update about what’s going on. It’s been dragging on for ages, which is frustrating

I was a bit worried about canceling, but it actually went smoothly. The refund took around a few days to come through, but everything got sorted in the end.

"Mileage limit was way too easy to miss"
I booked with Green Motion because the price looked decent at first, but then the whole mileage-limit nonsense caught me out. Sure, it was technically in the terms, but it wasn’t exactly jumping off the page when I was booking.
I ended up going over on a normal weekend trip and had to pay extra. And of course, Captain Small Print had a steep charge per extra mile, which made it even more annoying.
The car itself was fine and the staff were alright, so no major drama there. But that mileage policy really took the shine off the deal and made it feel a lot less cheap in the end

"Card payment was fine, just a little slow"
I paid with my credit card and it went through without any real trouble. The only thing was they took a bit longer than I expected checking it at the desk. Maybe I’m just impatient with this kind of stuff, but I always prefer when card payments are quick and hassle-free

I booked because it looked like a good deal, but then extra fees came up later at the desk. I was expecting the online payment instructions and total cost to be clearer upfront, so it felt a bit misleading.

I was in a bit of a rush and needed help quickly, but it took a while for support to get back to me. They did answer eventually, though I had to chase them first, which was a little frustrating.

"I had a booking but still ended up..."
I had a booking but still ended up waiting over an hour. The queue was all over the place, with no clear line or explanation from the staff. They kept calling people up in what felt like a random order, and it kind of seemed like some people were being prioritized for reasons they weren’t saying. We just sat there wondering if they’d forgotten about us. Really frustrating experience.

"Roadside help never actually came"
My car broke down while I had a rental from Green Motion, I think it was around the 12th or maybe the 13th, and their roadside assistance was no help at all. I waited for hours, kept getting transferred between people on the phone, and nobody seemed to know what was going on or what I was supposed to do. In the end I had to figure it out myself, which was really stressful. Definitely not the kind of support you expect when you’re stuck on the side of the road.

Just a heads up, the pickup took longer than I thought it would. I did end up getting everything and it was fine in the end, but if you're in a hurry, you might want to give yourself extra time

The car was clean inside and I didn’t run into any real issues. I was only using it for a quick trip across town after lunch, so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but it looked fine and got the job done

"Booking details didn’t match up"
I booked through greenmotion.com and the car shown on my booking wasn’t really what I ended up being offered at the desk. The pickup time and the extra driver details also didn’t match what I had on my confirmation, which was frustrating after thinking everything was already sorted.
The staff did try to help, but it dragged on for ages and I ended up paying more than I expected. When I contacted support, the replies felt a bit copy-pasted and didn’t really address the actual issue. It wasn’t the worst rental experience I’ve had, but they definitely need to tighten up the booking accuracy.

I had a hard time understanding parts of the rental agreement because there were just too many unclear sections. I wish it had been explained more simply, because it left me feeling a bit unsure and not very comfortable moving forward.

"Felt pressured into extra insurance"
I booked because the price looked cheap, but when I got to the desk they kept pushing extra insurance on me. It made the whole experience really uncomfortable, and the final cost wasn’t what I was expecting at all. i think Green Motion should at least acknowledge how frustrating this was and apologise. I wouldn’t use them again after this.

"Handy location and easy enough"
I went with Green Motion mostly because the location worked well for me. It was close to where I got in, so I didn’t have to deal with a long taxi ride or anything like that. Pickup was straightforward, just had to wait a little at the desk, but nothing major. All in all, it was a good experience and I’d probably use them again if I needed to.....

"Something felt off reliability-wise"
I wanted to give it a fair shot, but my gut kept telling me it wasn’t something I could fully rely on. Trust your instinct on this one, if it doesn’t feel dependable early on, that feeling probably won’t go away.

I asked about it, and they just said it was all in the terms. Maybe it was, but it definitely felt buried or not made obvious enough. I ended up paying a lot more than I expected, so the good deal didn’t feel like a deal anymore.
The car itself was fine, and the staff weren’t rude or anything, but I probably wouldn’t use them again unless every fee is shown clearly upfront

"Car drove fine, but I was a little wary"
The car got me where I needed to go and drove okay, but I’ll admit I was a bit nervous at first because I didn’t want to get fooled by photos that made it look nicer than it was. The seats had some stains, and there were a few scratches on the outside, so it definitely felt a bit worn. Not a terrible experience, just not as clean as I expected

"Felt pricey by the end"
At first it seemed like a cheap deal, but once the extras and deposit were added, it didn’t feel that affordable anymore. The car itself was fine, nothing really wrong with it, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that they maybe keep the base price low just to make it look better upfront. In the end, it just didn’t feel like great value for the money.

"Quick and Easy Drop-Off"
Dropping the car off was painless. The staff checked everything over quickly, and I was on my way in just a few minutes (which I really appreciated). The only small issue was that the return area could’ve been marked a bit more clearly, but overall it was smooth and not a hassle at all
